Weapons And Firearms
Since 1990, Geauga Pawn and Alliance Loan Company continue to serve citizens looking to buy or sell firearms or weapons, such as handguns, rifles, and shotguns. Our two convenient locations, in Newbury and Alliance, OH, offer easy access to residents in Stark and Geauga counties as well as the surrounding communities. We’re locally owned and operated, and both locations are Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) dealers and registered and licensed by the state of Ohio.
Buy A Gun
Pawn shops often provide guns at discounted prices, and we’re a great source for used and like-new brand name guns as well as antique guns and rare or hard-to-find firearms. Our locations carry handguns, pistols, shotguns, rifles, ammunition, knives, bows and arrows, miscellaneous weapons, and a wide variety of hunting and fishing gear.
We offer an extensive selection of high-quality firearms from reputable manufacturers, and all our weapons are legitimate and well taken care of. To buy a gun, you must present a valid state-issued driver’s license or photo ID and pass an FBI background check. Background checks are required on all firearms purchases, excluding muzzleloaders.
Per Ohio state law, you must be 18 or older to purchase a firearm and 21 or older to purchase a handgun.
Pawn Or Sell Your Gun
When you visit either of our shops to pawn or sell your weapon, you’ll get the best offer if your firearm is clean, cared for, functioning, and visually appealing. All firearms we potentially consider must:
- Be owned by the person trying to pawn or sell
- Have serial numbers or official markings for legitimacy
- Be in working order
- Be free and clear of financing
Always ensure your gun is completely unloaded before bringing it into either of our shops. Even when you know a gun isn’t loaded, always treat it as if it is. Keep your finger off the trigger and point the gun in a safe direction away from people.
Our staff will always verify that the gun isn’t loaded before performing a professional appraisal. Whether you pawn or sell your gun, we give you top dollar for brand name firearms that are in preserved condition.
Reclaiming Your Gun
If you’re pawning your gun, we offer the option to buy it back within four months. When you come to reclaim it, you must bring your state-issued driver’s license or photo ID. You must also undergo the same background check you would have if you were purchasing the gun for the first time. Background checks are required on all firearm redemptions, excluding muzzleloaders.
We Buy Guns
We’re always looking for famous-maker pistols, shotguns, and rifles from brand names, such as Glock, Ruger, Browning, Smith & Wesson, Colt, Walther, etc. Whether it’s been heavily used or in like-new condition, any quality handgun or rifle that’s clean and mechanically sound will be considered.
Get a quote online by filling out a short form and uploading a photo of your weapon for our review. We’ll provide you with a free estimate, but all items must be brought into one of our locations for an official quoted price and to complete the transaction.
