Items can remain with us as long as you need with timely interest payments. Customers can shorten the duration of their pawn loan with full payment. The loan can even be redeemed the day of issuance – no minimum holding period is required.
No. Less than 1/10 of 1% of transactions involve stolen property. While this can happen – as with any institution trading material goods – our staff is trained to recognize high-risk circumstances, and we have protocols in place to avoid taking stolen property. We are also required by law to submit a daily listing of all items received to local police.
If we haven’t received a loan payment from you after three months, you’ll receive a reminder in the mail from our staff. After four months with no payment, your item will be pulled from storage and added to the store’s inventory to be sold.
We understand that not everyone will be able to repay their loan. Failure to pay off a pawn loan will not negatively impact your credit score or ability to receive another short-term loan from Geauga Pawn and Alliance Loan Company in the future.
No. We accept a variety of items as collateral. Customers can come back repeatedly to receive additional short-term loans from Geauga Pawn and Alliance Loan Company.
